Senior Strategy Consultant - Business Strategy & Transformation - 1898 & Co.

In this role, you help energy and utilities clients design strategies that deliver measurable outcomes. You'll partner with leadership to translate market trends and regulatory shifts into actionable plans and resilient operating models. You lead cross-functional initiatives and mentor teams to drive transformation and performance improvements. This position offers exposure to executive-level discussions, high-impact engagements, and ongoing opportunities to shape client strategy and outcomes.

• Develop strategic recommendations for executive leadership by synthesizing market trends and regulatory developments
• Assess organizational readiness, risk, and resilience to guide business transformation
• Design and implement solutions linking strategic objectives with utility processes and regulatory frameworks
• Lead and support strategic initiatives in capital planning, process optimization, and performance
• Advise energy and utilities clients on strategy and operational improvements with senior leadership
• Prepare and present concise reports and insights to senior stakeholders
• Facilitate high-stakes workshops and executive-level discussions to align diverse teams
• Build and maintain long-term client relationships to drive growth and sustained value
• Mentor junior consultants and project teams; contribute to proposals and thought leadership

• Management consulting or industry experience in energy and utilities
• Experience in business strategy, capital planning, and operational excellence
• Strong analytical skills with quantitative problem solving and financial modeling
• Experience leading cross-functional workshops and executive interviews
• Familiarity with operations and planning functions in energy and utilities
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, finance, accounting, or related field; 7 years of relevant experience
• Strong attention to detail, facilitation, collaboration, organization, and problem-solving
• Ability to work analytically in a quantitative environment; demonstrated leadership and training ability
• Ability to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines and on-site work readiness
